1. Rental Agreement

By renting a boat from Thasos Boat Rentals, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you (the "Renter") and Thasos Boat Rentals (the "Company").

1.1 Eligibility

Renters must be at least 18 years of age
A valid ID or passport is required at pickup
No boating license is required for boats under 30HP
Renters must be physically capable of operating the vessel

1.2 Rental Period

Half-day rentals: 4 hours
Full-day rentals: 8 hours
Late returns will be charged at the hourly rate plus a late fee
Boats must be returned to the designated location unless otherwise arranged

2. Payment & Deposits

2.1 Payment

Payment is due on the day of rental. We accept:

Cash (Euros)
Credit/Debit cards (Visa, Mastercard)

2.2 Security Deposit

A security deposit of €100-200 (depending on boat) is required
Deposit is refunded upon safe return of the boat
Deductions may be made for damage, excessive cleaning, or missing equipment

2.3 Fuel

Fuel is NOT included in the rental price
Boats are provided with a full tank and should be returned full
If not returned full, fuel will be charged at current rates plus a service fee

3. Cancellation Policy

48+ hours before: Full refund, no questions asked
24-48 hours before: 50% refund or free reschedule
Less than 24 hours: No refund (exceptions for emergencies)
Weather cancellation by us: Full refund or free reschedule

To cancel, please contact us by phone or email. Cancellations via WhatsApp must be confirmed by us to be valid.

4. Safety & Responsibilities

4.1 Renter Responsibilities

The Renter agrees to:

Operate the boat in a safe and responsible manner
Ensure all passengers wear life jackets when required
Not exceed the maximum passenger capacity
Not operate the boat under the influence of alcohol or drugs
Stay within designated boating areas
Report any incidents or damage immediately
Return the boat in the same condition as received

4.2 Prohibited Activities

Racing or reckless operation
Towing water skiers or inflatables (unless specifically approved)
Subletting or allowing unauthorized persons to operate the boat
Overnight trips without prior arrangement
Traveling outside Thasos island waters

4.3 Insurance

All boats are covered by third-party liability insurance. The Renter is responsible for any damage not covered by insurance, including damage caused by negligence or violation of these terms.

5. Liability

The Company is not liable for:

Personal injury resulting from renter negligence
Loss or damage to personal belongings
Delays or cancellations due to weather
Mechanical failures that could not reasonably be prevented

By signing the rental agreement, you acknowledge and accept these limitations.

6. Privacy Policy

6.1 Information We Collect

We collect the following personal information:

Name, email, phone number for bookings
ID/passport details for verification
Payment information (processed securely)

6.2 How We Use Your Information

To process and manage your booking
To contact you regarding your rental
To send promotional offers (only with consent)
To improve our services

6.3 Data Protection

We comply with GDPR regulations. Your data is:

Stored securely and encrypted
Never sold to third parties
Deleted upon request (subject to legal requirements)
